Windows 7 Ultimate Key

date:2013-06-01

Rosemount Australian Fashion Week As the glitz and glamour of the TV Week Logie Awards came to an end in Melbourne,Windows 7 Ultimate Key Sydney took center stage with the opening of Rosemount Australian Fashion Week. TODAY reporter Sarah Harris brings all the highlights of day one. The cream de la creme of the fashion industry walked through the doors of The Art Gallery of NSW and The Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay yesterday as the show kicked off with fashion week veteran Lisa Ho. Lisa opened the show with a classic and sophisticated line worn by Samantha Harris, of Indigenous Australian background, who was the first model to grace the runway. Lisa's collection was inspired by the colours of nature, with her floor sweeping gowns stealing the show. Lisa identifies these gowns as "pieces for the woman who is always moving forward. " Up next, designers Carly Hunter, Guanabana Designs, Story By Tang, Uscari and Zambesi all followed in the women's ready-to-wear show. Camilla Franks splashed the runways with colour and quirk with the Avatar invasion, opening the doors to the mythical land of Pandora with vibrant caftans inspired by James Cameron's 3-D blockbuster film. Samantha Harris made another appearance painted in striking fluorescent shades by celebrity make-up artist Napoleon Perdis. "Camilla wanted it to be an escape, and that's what we created for her" explained Perdis as his creations were "escapism mixed with Babylon and Avatar with tribal (influences)". Lara Bingle made her debut at Rosemount Fashion week yesterday with her new gig as a fashion blogger for Harpers Bazaar. Crowned as being famous for nothing, her new role has caused a stir amongst fashion critics, encouraging further criticism of "The Bingle" (as she has now been informally branded by the style pack). While Bazaar editor Edwina McCann maintains that Lara is a star recruit, "the fear is they don't want that drama to rub off on them, " one source told The Daily Telegraph. Amidst all the controversy, Lara tweeted happily at the Ginger and Smart show as the transcendent themed collection drew on inspiration from the spiritual world. "It's about the blissful, fourth state of consciousness beyond waking, dreaming and sleeping, " said co-designer Genevieve Smart. As the day drew to a close, fashion experts walked out the doors with their heads held high impressed with the continuing success of the Australian fashion industry.
